Personality: North is a gentle animal, around people that is. He's not too fond of being around other horses, generally stallions and geldings. Mares, he gets along with though. He hates dogs. Small, big, yappy, or quiet, it doesn't matter. He hates them all. He loves people, especially when they have treats. If he hears crinkling of a wrapper, he'll be the first one at the fence or stall door. Carrots are his favorite though. He has some issues though, as lovable as he is. The major one being that he's notorious around the barn for being the one horse who likes to start walking off when you're trying to mount. Even if there's someone else on the other end of the lead rope, he still tries to walk off. We're definitely trying to fix that habit though. He's also kind of an escape artist. If he's tied up, he will try to untie himself if he can. The one time when he won't is when he's being groomed. He loves grooming sessions and at most times, he'll fall asleep during them.
On the track, he's still laid back. He runs his best when he's at the back of the pack. He makes up for his laid backness, though as they enter the stretch, choosing that time to make his move. He's a horse that'll listen to his rider most of the time. He has a stubborn streak that comes out on the track sometimes. If his rider tells him to do something North doesn't want to do, he won't do it, and nothing will make him obey. He loves the dirt track and thrives on the short distances.
